Aprica Presto Stroller Reviews

GREAT STROLLER – I had tried one of these in a store on vacation, compared to my MacLaren Triumph (which is old) and I love this!! The sun shade is very large, a good 6 inches longer than the MacLaren sun shade. The wheel brakes being step on pedals are much easier to use than the side kick style on the Triumph, and the basket underneath is very sturdy. I personally like the height of the handles, it is made for taller people. I am only 5’6″ and I love the height. The raised seat is AMAZING for getting bigger kids in and out of especially if you have a bad back. Additionally, my daughter loves being higher up, she can see better and interact better with everything around her. The stroller is incredibly easy to control and lightweight. I have read reviews about the closing mechanism and it is quite different from the MacLaren system and take a little getting used to. Instead of having a pedal you step on to initiate the folding, this has a handle you pull up on. While pulling up the handle… Read more
Greatest Stroller for Tall Parents – Finding a stroller that is comfortable for tall parents to push/walk behind is difficult. This stroller is the best! It was taller than every other lightweight stroller in stores. The way the supports are made in the back give room for longer strides also. The quality of the stroller itself is absolutely great, comprable to all the nicest most expensive strollers! I highly recommend checking this stroller out, especially if you’re a taller parent. It is also set up great for travel with a carry strap (for when its collaspsed), lightweight, easy to fold and unfold. Comes with a rain guard that we use as a wind guard in cold weather. This stroller really holds up. It battled ice, slushy snowy conditions and came away with out a scratch or loose screw.
As for baby the seat is padded, breathable and has an adjustable recline to sit up feature. Cargo space below is very durable and the whole stroller wipes clean easily.
A great lightweight stroller with USABLE features – I spent so long researching strollers and went through so many choices, including Chicco, Maclaren, Cybex, and Maxi Cosi. Ultimately, for price and features, I decided on the Aprica Presto.
One of the big concerns of moms is the recent recall of many umbrella-type strollers (every Maclaren made from 1999 till 2010 for instance) due to the risk of finger amputation. Maclaren’s hinge caused 12 finger amputations! While they are currently producing a new hinge, I was not interested in buying from a company that permitted so many children to be injured (since 2004). I wanted a hinge mechanism that was safe for my child. This did require some sacrifices, but my baby is worth it!
The Aprica is NOT a one-handed fold. This is due to its design, which is safer than most one-handed folds. The fold can be sticky and confusing, but the one review that stated it could “not” be closed is totally over the top. In truth, I figured it out with no help while viewing it… Read more
Pros: High seat, sliding fold, built-in seat ventilation and mesh fabrics, 70-pound weight limit, freestanding when folded
Cons: No cupholder or snack tray, not suited for all-terrain use
The Aprica Presto Stroller is really an umbrella stroller packed with features, including a high seat, storage basket, sun cover and reflectors for safe strolling in the dark, but there is no cupholder or snack tray. Reviewers consistently praise the mesh fabrics, which keep children cooler on hot days. The Presto folds into a freestanding position and uses a unusual sliding fold with no hinges, a feature parents like because they say it reduces the odds of pinching your fingers. The Presto boasts a weight limit of 70 pounds, and parents say that its light weight — just 13.7 pounds — and easy fold make it a snap to pack the Presto for a quick trip. Although most reviewers say the Presto navigates well on uneven sidewalks, others say it’s not the ideal stroller for regular off-road use…
I love this Stroller – Easily Stowed; Durable; Sturdy; Comfortable; Easy To Steer; Lightweight; Easy To Setup. I love this Stroller, but at first it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to open and closed but now its a piece of cake.
Ok stroller somewhat functional – I paid around $100 on sale, so I can’t really complain, because the price point for the features it contains was what I was looking for. I normally don’t write reviews, but for this particular item, I thought I would give other parents my opinion. I have two other strollers, a Peg Prego(Pliko) and a Maclaren (Volo). The reason I am getting the second umbrella stroller is because The Volo DOES NOT RECLINE, the Pliko is too heavy so I bought the Volo. I have two children a three year old and a one year old. The older one rides in the Volo and the younger one rides in the Aprica. PROS: This stroller reclines, unlike the volo. Reasonably light weight 13.7lbs , although the volo is lighter at 8.8lbs. Great for tall parents, the handles are high and the foam padding is nice. I’m 5’5″ inches, for me the handles are bit high, but if you are tall you will love this stroller. Baby sits higher than most strollers, allowing for better view also less bending for the parents when your placing your child in the stroller. There is a small basket, it’s not huge, but there is a place to squeeze some diapers, wetnaps, snacks. When you close the stroller it stands upright, so long as you have locked the front wheels, so your not looking for a wall or something to lean it up against. Larger sunshade than most umbrella strollers, there is an additional flap that gives even more coverage. Major issue with the canopy is it DOES NOT rotate forward, so if the sun is in front of you than there is nothing you can do.
Best Construction Best Framing – Durable; Lightweight; Sturdy; Comfortable; Easy To Steer. We just really wanted a good folding stroller that was made well. This stroller goes even further. It is a little hard to fold for about the first 2 or 3 times. Just with anything it takes a little practice that’s all. The seat does seem to not fully sit straight up but the little guy doesn’t seem to care. I think its just my concern not his. As for the height of the handles I am over 6 feet tall and they work for me great. In summary I recommend the stroller as no stroller is perfect. The McClarin will not stand up on its own and that really turned us of from it. We gave this stroller a 5 star rating because we could not find a better substitute.
Best Stroller – This is the best stroller I’ve seen yet. I’ve used a lot of strollers being a nanny for years but now that I’m a mom this was my first pick and definitely the best choice for a stroller. I’m 5’4 and all I remember is having to walk haunch backed just to push around the other strollers, but this Aprica stroller has higher handles, it’s so soft, my baby feels so comfortable sitting in it and it rides pretty smooth. The only thing I could be a little bugged about is that its not as light weight as I hoped but over all its GREAT! I’d recommend it to anyone!
Finally a stroller for tall people – Sturdy; Lightweight; Easily Stowed; Durable; Easy To Steer; Easy To Setup; Comfortable. First of all, it is gorgeous! It is sturdy and well made. We splurged for a pricier umbrella like stroller because I am tired of kicking the darn things when I walk and hunching over while pushing them. I am 5’10″ and the hubby is the same height. This is not a one-child stroller, this is one that you will use for all your kids and then pass on to you sister for her kids – some serious quality here. My only complaint is that the seat does not sit as upright much as I would like it too, I thought my son would mind but he doesn’t actually. So no biggie.
Lacking – Easy To Steer; Sturdy. I do feel it’s Cumbersome; Heavy; Bulky. I needed a nice umbrella stroller. I bought this one because it was so beautiful. The bright colors and sleek look had me immediately. I thought right away this one was for me. When I got home and took a closer look I was a little concerned. It seems quite bulky with too much extra padding. The seat leans back too much in the most upright position. There is really no foot rest or pull out. Baby’s legs just dangle. I went online a read the reviews, they were so bad I returned it immediately without even opening the box. I bought a maclaren instead and love it.
We both LOVE this stroller – Sturdy; Easy To Steer; Comfortable; Easily Stowed; Lightweight. But it Doesn’t Clip in Easily. My son and I are in LOVE with this stroller. I had an umbrella stroller that I keep in my car and had finally had enough of bending over to push the stroller and him being uncomfortable in it. So, I bought this stroller and it is amazing! He has plenty of room and I love the height of the handle bars. I’m 5’4″ and it fits me perfectly. I do have a problem occasionally stepping over the tires but that’s just when I am not paying attention to what I’m doing. It fits terrifically in my small car. My son now refers to it as his “comfy stroller”. He no longer fights me about riding in the stroller either
We do not use the straps since he is 3 1/2 and is in and out alot. I honestly couldn’t even tell you what color they are since I tucked them out of the way when I got it and haven’t paid attention to them since. My son doesn’t seem to mind that the seat doesn’t sit fully erect. Opening and closing it is tricky at first but once I got the hang of it, it is a breeze. Overall I can say nothing but great things about this stroller. I got an amazing deal on it since it was the floor model, which makes me happy, and he loves riding in it which makes both of us happy

Very nice stroller – Sturdy; Easy To Steer; Durable; Easily Stowed; Lightweight; Comfortable. I bought this stroller for my grandson. The big strollers are too big and bulky for me to handle. This is a very sturdy stroller, but weighs only a few pounds. I am only 5’2″, but love how high the handles are. The baby sits up nice and high off the ground too. The seat is very thick and soft.
It takes a little to get used to how it folds up, but after a few tries it is easy. You won’t be able to do it while holding the baby, but I always set up the stroller while the baby is still in his car seat.
I definitely recommend it. If you can get it on sale, like I did, that is even better!
Beautiful stroller, but not for me. – This is a beautiful stroller and very sturdy. And I really liked that the seat sat up higher than most strollers for little ones view and comfort. But unfortunately, I ended up returning the item because it just wouldn’t work for me. For one, the handles were a little high for me. I’m 5’2″ and I just couldn’t get comfortable pushing the stroller around. Also, the back wheels seem to be set back a little farther than most other strollers. I found that when pushing this stroller, my feet kept kicking the back wheels….very annoying!
Aprica Presto Stroller Summary – many 5 star reviews and most love how sturdy and well made this stroller is and the slim size when it’s folded up. I’m confident that most people will LOVE this Aprica Presto Stroller… especially if you are tall.
